How do we do it?
Thermal imaging is based on receiving the thermal radiation emitted by the object being observed. Thermal imaging is primarily conducted on-line, meaning it is performed while the process is in operation. The advantages of thermal imaging include versatile applications and efficient, rapid imaging of large surface areas.
Typical inspection targets include:
- Process equipment such as heat exchangers (e.g. detecting circulation disruptions)
- Process pipelines and tanks
- Motors and gearboxes
- Conveyors, including bearings
- Electrical components
- Furnaces and boilers
